Mochi ice cream is prepared from flour of glutinous rice (mochiko flour) and ice cream filling, some would have mousse filling and bean paste filling to make mochi mousse or mochi daifuku, it is very popular as a traditional Chinese snack. Mochi dough materials are mixed and steamed automatically in a modern mochi dough steamer machine. With modern equipments and technology, it automates the dough steaming and mochi ice cream encrusting process, mochi can be made in batches in a short time in commercial factory production. What machines required in mochi ice cream production?
For a factory workshop, we basically need these machines & equipment for mochi ice cream production:
1) Syrup Boiler
The main function of the Syrup Boiler is for boiling up the syrup (maltose) before mochi dough production. Syrup (or maltose) is the main ingredient for mochi dough production. In order to make good and elastic mochi dough, before adding it to the other materials, we need to boil up the syrup (maltose) .
2) Mochi Dough Steamer and Steam Boiler & Water Softener.
Mochi Dough Steamer is the automatic model of mochi dough steaming making machine, it has the automatic mixing and steaming&cooking function. The Steam Boiler and Water Softener are both needed for working of the Mochi Dough Steamer.
After all materials prepared, you just need to operate by following the machine operating procedures. Thanks to the constant improvement of machine technology, even new operators can make mochi dough. About the machine capacity, we have three models: 60L, 150L, and 300L. They can respectively produce about 60kg, 150kg, and 300kg of mochi dough in one batch. Adn each batch takes about 30 to 40 minutes.

machine with a bigger capacity. Since the bigger, it produces much mochi dough each batch. Which helps save much more energy and human labor comparing to the smaller one.
3) Mochi Ice Cream Encrusting Making Machine
After mochi dough prepared well, we will need machines to do the ice cream encrusting process.
Comparing to manual work, the biggest benefit of the mochi ice cream encrusting making machine is it’s automatic high-speed making in the production of mochi ice cream with uniform size, weight and shape. Put Mochi Dough in the Dough Hopper, put and Ice Cream in the Filling Hopper of the Mochi Ice Cream Encrusting Making Machine. Then choose the desired production mode on the Control Panel, you could start mochi ice cream production.

4) Tunnel Freezer
After the mochi ice cream is made, it needs freezing with Tunnel Freezer.

After freezing the mochi ice cream well, we could demold them from the freezing trays, and packing them with different packaging for storage or sale.
